The Regulatory team, based in the UK, Netherlands and the US, is responsible for determining which regulatory strategy is applicable to Dechra’s range of products in accordance with the statutory requirements of our markets.
The regulations regarding pharmaceutical products differ between the EU, the US and individual countries and we ensure that both the maintenance of licenses and new submissions for products comply with those regulations. The team works together on projects to ensure consistency, transparency and continual learning.
Dechra, as one of the major UK based animal pharmaceutical companies, is well placed to offer its customers new and novel products.
One of the benefits of being a relatively small, flexible company is the ability to work closely with veterinarians in order to identify the products that they need and then react quickly to develop and introduce those products. Another is the fact that everyone knows everyone else and there is a real camaraderie amongst all of Dechra’s staff.
All roles within the department are aligned across the territories, enabling people to move and take on a wide range of projects. One of our Regulatory Affairs Co-ordinators, for example, began her career with Dechra as a junior administrator and was promoted to her current position after successfully covering for a senior colleague who was on maternity leave.
Many of the people who join us have a science background and Dechra is committed to developing their knowledge via a range of internal and external training programmes.
Dechra is very family orientated and the summer fun day brings together employees and their families in recognition of their contribution to the company’s success. In addition, Dechra’s excellent social committee organises events such as bowling and trips to the races.
