Job Purpose

To assist in achieving the production planned on a daily basis.

To take responsibility for the equipment used and ensure all aspects of use (set up, dispensing and cleaning) are carried out to a high standard, in line with associated documentation and GMP procedures.

Dispensing products to the highest quality standard and compliant to the set GMP guidelines and procedures.

To ensure all activities undertaken are within the set Health and Safety guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispensing products to high standard ensuring the quality of those products is in accordance with the set GMP standards and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Attend and comply with any planned in house training or on the job training.
  • Capable and willing to train others in the team.
  • To ensure the efficient and safe use of plant and equipment.
  • To keep strictly to Dispensing Records as laid down in the documentation and raise any issues or errors with the Senior Dispensing Technician or Supervisors.
  • To ensure all equipment is clean and maintained in good working order and where deficiencies are found, escalating to a Senior Dispensing Technician or Supervisors.
  • Maintain the highest standards of housekeeping, cleanliness and personal hygiene within the department.
  • To notify the Warehouse Manager, Supervisor or Senior Dispensing Technician, as a matter of urgency, if there has been any serious failure of safety or GMP which could affect staff safety or product quality or operational efficiency.
  • To identify any issues and attempt to resolve these and escalating if it cannot be resolved.
  • To support Operational Excellence incentives to drive and improve efficiency.
  • Any other reasonable request made by a member of staff.

  • Support the departmental goal of zero overdue CAPAs, deviations and change controls.
  • Ensure paperwork is "Right First Time".
  • Drive the Dispensing plan and ensure schedule adherence to meet agreed targets.
  • Support operational excellence incentives to drive and improve efficiency.
  • Maintaining GMP and Health & Safety at all times ensuring the close out of hazards and risk assessments in a timely manner.
  • Acceptable absence levels and timekeeping.

Skills and Experience

Good knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety compliance.

Ability to communicate effectively with both peers and senior members of staff.

Experience of low to medium volume manufacturing/packaging, manual/semi-automated manufacturing processes.

Proven industry experience from a highly regulated GMP manufacturing/packing facility, either from the Pharmaceutical or similarly regulated industry/environment.

A working knowledge and practical experience of pharmaceutical manufacture, continuous improvement activities and ability to manage time and workload effectively.
