The Opportunity
The site engineering Maintenance Planner is a technically skilled position responsible for planning day to day maintenance of work orders and preventative maintenance tasks across the site. As part of this planning, consideration must be given to staffing levels, changeovers, planned downtime, parts availability, tools and training to ensure the plans are attainable and executed.

Role Responsibility
  • Interface with the maintenance engineers to ensure appropriate understanding of the work order or task. Ensuring that the engineer has what is needed to accomplish the job and spare parts are ordered for the activity or replenished.
  • Responsible for planning all outside contractor maintenance and work through a Permit To Work system so there is no impact to production.
  • Raise purchase orders and close all invoices and ensures all financial commitments are paid in the correct period.
  • Open minded and able to accept that the plans will always change within the facility and that the ability of the team to react to that is where they can be successful.
  • Able to work with a production schedule and understand the maintenance tasks and the amount of time required as to not impact production outside of planned windows.
  • Must have an understanding of LOTO (lock out, tag out), work at height, electrical safety, confined space principles and other engineering/safety standards to keep maintenance employees safe and not plan unsafe acts or send untrained employees to a task they have not been trained to do.
  • Act as a Maintenance Engineer when required due to the needs of the department/
  • Co-ordinating Engineering activities throughout the day for all the engineering team

  • Proficient software purchasing systems as well as CMMS maintenance software
  • Proficient in Microsoft office programs and be able to put together reports, charts and scorecards on maintenance
  • Time served engineer either mechanical or electrical
  • Experience planning maintenance activities
  • Knowledge of GMP/ working in an pharmaceutical environment
  • Knowledge of maintenance work orders and preventative maintenance tasks in an FMCG environment
  • Level 3 in Engineering
