The Opportunity Develop and implement long-term strategic plan to achieve business objectives driving both top-line growth and bottom-line profitability, taking into consideration market trends, industry changes, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions. Serve as the primary executive liaison with full accountability for retention, growth, and the execution of strategic initiatives. Overseeing and optimizing the strategic and operational functions within consolidated Groups, ensuring alignment with the company's long-term goals, Commercial strategy and compliance with EU regulations. Drive high-level negotiations and influence strategic decisions for 18+ Key Accounts across Europe. Take full ownership of cross-functional collaboration, serving as the senior point of contact between customers and Managing Director Europe, Global stakeholders and other relevant departments. Takes part in the European Leadership team.
Role Responsibility So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:
- Build and execute a comprehensive strategic plan for the Consolidated Groups business, aligning it with Dechra's overall corporate strategy and growth targets. Develop & deliver the strategy for RTM.
- Develop and oversee implementation of the larger European Wholesaler chains
- Serve as the leader of the Task Force for Consolidated Groups, driving initiatives that involve complex cross-functional collaboration. Oversee large-scale projects, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with strategic goals.
- Be the primary driver in transforming strategic initiatives into actionable business outcomes. Design, implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure operational success.
- Drive Commercial Excellence. Implement best practices for sales optimization and client engagement. Innovate on go-to-market strategies and coordinate with local teams to ensure alignment and execution. Streamline processes to improve productivity and reduce costs whilst ensuring all operations comply with EU regulations and standards.
- Develop and enforce policies and procedures to mitigate risks.
- Take ownership of the P&L for the Consolidated Groups segment, with accountability for driving revenue growth, margin optimization, and achieving financial targets across all markets. Develop and manage budgets for strategic initiatives and operational activities.
- Optimize resource allocation to support strategic priorities.
- Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports within Consolidated Group team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation & cross-functional collaboration to achieve strategic goals.
- Build and maintain top-to-top relationships with key stakeholders & customers & communicate strategic initiatives and progress to stakeholders & represent the organization in industry forums and events.
- Supports Account Directors in cultivating relationships with C-suite and senior executives within the Consolidated Groups to establish Dechra as a trusted strategic partner.
- Oversee the end-to-end tender process for high-value contracts, including strategy development, negotiation, and execution to maximize revenue opportunities. Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversee strategic projects from inception to completion & ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
- Act as the senior stakeholder within Dechra to influence and drive change management initiatives that align with Consolidated Groups' needs. This includes implementing new business models, digital transformation, or other large-scale projects. Continuously assess and improve operational processes, implementing best practices and innovative solutions to drive performance with regular reviews to identify areas for improvement.
- Lead efforts in gathering market intelligence and competitor insights to proactively identify business opportunities and mitigate risks. Identify opportunities for market expansion and business growth & develop strategies for increasing market share.
- Collaboration with HR to provide ongoing training and development opportunities fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement

Essential
- Significant proven experience in senior account management, business development, or customer success, with a strong focus on international and complex client portfolios.
- Proven track record of managing multi-million accounts and full P&L responsibility. demonstrating depth of expertise in key account management and delivering measurable results.
- Expertise in high-level contract negotiations, with experience in closing large deals and managing multiple (10+) long-term contracts.
- Strong strategic thinking capabilities, with experience in transforming strategic plans into measurable results.
- Advanced spreadsheet skills, including proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, complex formulas, data analysis, and visualization) to support financial reporting and decision-making processes.
- Highly organized with a demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, complex projects, and multiple stakeholders effectively.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional projects and influencing change at the executive level.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience with budget management and financial forecasting.
- Proven track record of leading teams and managing senior-level stakeholders across multiple functions.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate at senior levels, both internally and externally.
- Depth of experience in key account management, including strategic relationship-building, identifying growth opportunities, and implementing effective account strategies within a European or international context.
- Strong experience in optimizing operational processes, managing large-scale teams, and driving efficiency across business units.
- In-depth understanding of market dynamics, sales strategies, and key account management within a European or international context
- Familiarity with EU regulations and compliance requirements, especially in relation to commercial and operational activities.
- Proficient in CRM systems and other sales and marketing tools and advanced Excell functionality.
- Ability to travel as required
Desirable - Experience with methodologies such as Agile, Lean, or Six Sigma is an asset, as is formal certification in project management (e.g., PMP or PRINCE2).

- Travel may be required with this role.
- This role is based in our Shrewsbury office on a hybrid basis
