Governance & Legal consists of Company Secretarial, Compliance and Legal teams. This team plays a critical role in safeguarding Dechra by navigating the complexities of regulatory compliance, intellectual property, corporate governance, and contractual negotiations. They work closely with all departments to enable our operations to comply with global legal standards.
The Company Secretarial Team are responsible for maintaining statutory compliance for all companies within the Dechra Group, managing the Group Insurance portfolio, the management of the Group’s trademarks, including applications, renewals and disputes; and organising, attending and recording Board and Committee meetings.
The Compliance Team are responsible for managing and maintaining policies, procedures and training surrounding Anti-Trust, Anti Bribery and Corruption, Sanctions, Anti Fraud, Modern Slavery and Data Protection. They are also responsible for our compliance onboarding tool for all third parties, and work closely with the business to ensure that third party due diligence is completed.
The Legal Team provides support for the business across the globe. The team helps the business enter into trading arrangements such as appointment of distributors of our products, licensing, acquire assets and manage disputes. Advice can involve specialist areas such as competition law and intellectual property law.
By providing strategic advice, and maintaining strict regulatory compliance, the Governance & Legal team enable us to focus on our mission of improving animal health while protecting the Company’s long term interests.
Roles include Trainee Company Secretarial Assistant through to Company Secretary and Trainee Lawyer through to General Counsel, Compliance Manager and Analyst.
Our Finance team manages our financial health with precision and expertise. From budgeting and forecasting to financial reporting and analysis, they ensure that we are well-positioned for sustainable growth and can effectively allocate resources to our research and development efforts.
Roles include Accounting and Finance Managers and Assistants, Accounts Receivable and Payable, Payroll, Business Analysts, Internal Audit, Tax Analysts and Managers, Financial Controller and Treasurer.
Our IT team is at the forefront of technological innovation, providing the tools and support necessary for our employees to perform at their best. They manage our systems, ensure cybersecurity, and implement cutting-edge technology solutions that drive efficiency and support our research and operational needs.
Roles include Business Analyst, Data Engineer, Software Engineer, IT Technician and Manager, IT Trainer, IT Project Manager and Systems Analyst and Administrator.
Our Corporate Communications team is responsible for crafting and conveying our company’s message, managing both external and internal communications to keep stakeholders informed and engaged with our latest achievements and initiatives. In addition to this, they play a key role in corporate brand management, ensuring consistency in how our brand is represented across all channels. They work closely with marketing, HR, and leadership teams to build and maintain a strong, unified corporate identity, enhancing our reputation in the market and fostering trust with customers, partners, and employees. By aligning communication strategies with brand values, the team helps reinforce Dechra’s image as a leader in animal health.
