The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Market Research Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing valuable insights and market intelligence to inform business strategies and drive growth. As a Market Research Manager, you will lead market research projects and work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure their successful execution. Your expertise will enable Dechra to tailor products, marketing campaigns, and services to meet the evolving demands of the marketplace.

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied scope and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:
  • Develop and execute market research plans to gather insights and information on target markets, competitive dynamics, customer preferences and industry trends.
  • Inform pipeline planning and product innovation by identifying unmet needs and assessing market viability of new products and services.
  • Analyze market research data to identify key trends, opportunities and challenges.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify research needs and recommend market research initiatives.
  • Conduct forecasting and market sizing to support product launches and lifecycle management.
  • Present market research findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in market research methods and technologies.
  • Oversee research projects from inception to completion, managing timelines, budgets, and external vendor relationships to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with external research agencies and vendors where necessary.
  • Lead and design the execution of qualitative and quantitative research to identify trends, opportunities, and customer needs.
  • Conduct voice-of-customer (VoC) initiatives including surveys, interviews, focus groups, field visits, analyzing data from secondary sources such as sales figures, industry reports and online data to gather insights and inform future opportunities.
  • Ensure the accuracy and validity of data and research findings.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years in Market Research, with a proven track record in managing research projects and delivering insights that influence business decisions
  • 2 years in the Pharmaceutical, veterinary or animal health sector strongly preferred
  • The ability to use analytical tools and software, such as Excel and SPSS, is also important for this role
  • Experience in sectors such as consumer goods, technology, healthcare, or finance, where understanding market dynamics is crucial
  • Expertise in market research methodologies, including survey design and data analysis
  • Knowledge of market research technologies and tools, such as data visualization software
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis software and tools.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
