The opportunity The Marketing Category Pain & Inflammation is part of the newly established European Regional Marketing structure and reports to the Director of Marketing, Europe . In this role, you act as the link between the European Regional Marketing Team and the Global Marketing & Technical Excellence (GMTE) function for the Pain & Inflammation category.
You are responsible for translating global strategies into actionable market plans for the Pain & Inflammation category, ensuring that key strategies are effectively implemented across European markets . This includes supporting non-priority Local Marketing Teams in executing priority strategies and assisting non-priority categories.
By driving alignment, maintaining consistent branding, and ensuring seamless global-to-local execution, you help optimize the Pain & Inflammation category's impact, reduce duplication, and maximize its commercial success across
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Alignment & Execution:
- Serve as the link between GMTE and Local Marketing teams, turning global strategies into actionable local plans.
- Relay market feedback to GMTE, fostering a two-way flow of insights and recommendations.
- Support the execution of priority and non-priority category activities in all markets.
- Market & Competitive Insights:
- Establish a comprehensive understanding of European market dynamics, including emerging trends, competitive landscapes, regulatory shifts, and key drivers of brand performance.
- Lead strategic initiatives to define and refine competitive positioning for therapeutic areas (TAs) and brands, ensuring alignment with regional market needs and organizational goals.
- Develop actionable insights through robust analysis, enabling data-driven decision-making and proactive responses to market challenges and opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate market intelligence into strategic planning, ensuring European brands remain well-positioned for growth and innovation.
- Brand Consistency & Efficiency:
- Ensure global brand guidelines are followed to maintain consistency across all markets.
- Drive efficiencies by improving processes and strengthening relationship management across regions.
- Partner with local teams to optimize product forecasting, lifecycle management, and resource allocation.
- Operational Excellence:
- Drive brand performance through strategic P&L oversight, accurate forecasting, optimized pricing strategies, and effective Gross-to-Net (GTN) management by therapeutic area and brand.
- Create centralized brand materials to ensure consistent and effective use across customer and promotional channels.
- Create playbooks and tactical plans to enable efficient and effective execution across all key channels.
- Collaborate with Corporate and Distribution teams to align forecasting and supply planning, ensuring operational efficiency and market responsiveness.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Europe to align strategies and execution plans, ensuring a unified approach to market opportunities.
- Support Business Development evaluations and lifecycle planning with strategic insights to drive long-term value.
- Lead key processes, including Operating Plan development, Quarterly Business Reviews, and Board updates, to ensure clarity and alignment across stakeholders.
- Leadership & Coaching:
- Coach and mentor team leads and marketing managers to develop comprehensive marketing objectives and strategies.
- Leverage talent and resources across marketing teams and business units to achieve shared goals.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10 years of experience with a proven record in branding, strategy development, and communications management in the therapy field.
- Expertise in managing cross-functional projects and leading teams in fast-paced environments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in MS Office; ability to learn and utilize Dechra systems.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to travel as required.
