The Opportunity The Technology GRC - Compliance Lead (GxP) supports and leads governance, risk and compliance across Dechra Group Digital & Technology globally. The role provides senior subject matter expertise in GxP technology compliance for digital and technology-enabled capabilities, ensuring alignment with the Dechra Quality Management System and supporting regulatory outcomes, technology risk management and business assurance. Operating with a high degree of professional autonomy within defined governance, the role acts as a key advisor to Digital & Technology and a subject matter partner to Global Quality and business leadership.
The role contributes to the development of the GxP compliance approach for digital and technology-enabled capabilities, including regulatory readiness, digital and technology risk and cyber compliance. With the primary responsibility of this position being in D&T, this role requires high competency and experience in GxP requirements and strong foundation in IT general controls (ITGC).
Role Responsibility So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:
- Support the development and ongoing maintenance of the D&T GxP compliance framework, policies, standards, SOPs and control architecture in line with the Dechra Quality Management System and regulatory expectations
- Ensure D&T GxP activities are aligned with the Dechra GxP strategy owned by the Global Quality department
- Act as a primary point of contact for D&T as the subject matter expert for GxP-related governance, risk and compliance across the global D&T function, working closely with Global Quality and other stakeholders
- Provide subject matter guidance and assurance within D&T, ensuring validation strategies, risk management and control effectiveness are implemented effectively and aligned with the Dechra QMS
- Support inspection readiness and regulatory interactions (e.g. FDA, EMA), including oversight of known issues, CAPAs and sustained compliance for D&T
- Identify, assess and support the treatment of technology risks within D&T impacting GxP, Cyber, SOx and Data, escalating and reporting risks through established governance forums
- Provide compliance input and challenge to digital transformation initiatives including ERP, cloud, data and AI-enabled solutions
- Escalate GxP technology compliance issues through agreed D&T and Quality governance routes
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of compliance maturity, governance proportionality and control efficiency
- Serve as a key partner to the Global Quality process owners for GxP

Essential
- Degree-level qualification and relevant professional certifications (e.g. CISA, CISM, CRISC, CISSP).
- Significant experience in GxP, IT governance, risk and compliance within regulated environments
- Experience supporting of global or multi-regional compliance and assurance activities.
- Ability to advise and influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong documentation and technical writing skills.
- Extensive experience supporting audits, and remediation activities.
- Exposure to complex digital transformation programmes (ERP, cloud, data, AI).
Desirable
- Experience in SOx and Data Privacy Regulations is an advantage.
- Experience in SAP S/4Hana and Azure is an advantage.
- Experience in AI Governance and AI risk management.
- Experience in supporting regulatory inspections and audit
Additional Information:
- Occasional global travel may be required with this role.
- This role is based in the UK on a remote basis
