The Opportunity To design and lead a world-class, customer-centric global supply chain and procurement function that enables Dechra's strategic growth ambitions. This role is responsible for setting the global vision and strategy for supply planning, procurement, logistics, establishing operational excellence, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and delivering sustainable value across the enterprise.
Role Responsibility So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:
• Sponsor and lead in the development, sourcing and deployment of transformation programs, including the launch of SAP S/4HANA.
• Define and execute a forward-looking global supply chain and procurement strategy aligned with Dechra's long-term business goals.
• Champion transformation initiatives to build a resilient, agile, and digitally enabled supply chain.
• Drive global standardization, scalability, and innovation across supply chain and procurement functions.
• Lead strategic sourcing and supplier development programs to ensure competitive advantage and supply continuity.
• Oversee global supply planning, demand forecasting, and inventory optimization to ensure product availability and service excellence.
• Lead logistics and distribution strategies across all regions, ensuring cost-effective and timely delivery to customers.
• Manage procurement operations globally, including direct and indirect categories, with a focus on value creation, risk mitigation, and sustainability.
• Ensure operational excellence at internal manufacturing sites through integrated planning and performance management.
• Embed a culture of continuous improvement and Practical Process Improvement (PPI) across all global operations.
• Lead the global Integrated Business Planning (IBP)/SIOP process to align supply, demand, and financial planning.
• Ensure cross-functional alignment and scenario planning to support business agility and informed decision-making. Team Development & Leadership
• Build, mentor, and inspire a high-performing, globally distributed supply chain and procurement team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across all levels of the organization.
• Collaborate with executive leadership, commercial teams, R&D, and manufacturing to align supply chain strategies with business priorities.
• Cultivate strategic relationships with key suppliers, contract manufacturers, and logistics partners to drive performance and innovation.
• Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, providing insights and solutions that enhance business outcomes.
• Proactively identify and mitigate global supply chain risks, including geopolitical, environmental, and supplier-related risks.
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, ethical sourcing standards, and corporate governance policies.
• Lead global supplier selection, evaluation, and performance management processes.
• Negotiate high-value contracts and strategic partnerships to secure favourable terms and long-term value.
• Develop and manage global supply chain and procurement budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and ROI.
• Analyze market trends and cost drivers to identify opportunities for savings and operational optimization.

• Experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry is essential.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, and procurement, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (eg. Director / VP).
• Excellent planning and organising skills.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Proven track record of driving operational excellence and cost savings in a global supply chain environment.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset and a focus on continuous improvement.
• Collaborative approach, ability to build relationships across multi sites and multi culturally, empowers and develops people, energetic and tenacious.
• Ability to balance strategic/big picture with a hands on, practical approach to getting the job done.
• Strong commercial understanding and demonstrable experience of improving customer service whilst managing costs and improving efficiency is essential.

- Frequent global travel may be required with this role.
- This role is based in Europe / remote (in a country with a European Dechra entity).
