The OpportunityThe Controllership Analyst position ensures accurate accounting, cost control, and financial compliance to support strategic management decisions . This role involves a range of accounting responsibilities across three levels of complexity, from general ledger reconciliation to financial planning support.
We have a broad and varied mission, and for this role the main responsibilities will be:

Financial Accounting & Reporting: Perform reconciliations and analysis of general ledger accounts, prepare and review accounting entries, monitor provisions, and support the production of accounting reports and financial statements (trial balance, OPEX, P&L).

Controls, Compliance & Audit: Ensure adherence to internal controls, support audit processes, manage inventory cycles (periodic and annual counts), and oversee fixed asset controls including CAPEX, leasing, and asset verification.

Costing & Payroll: Manage cost calculation and control, review allocation methodologies, and validate payroll accounting to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Tax & Statutory Reporting (Level II): Support transfer pricing calculations, prepare statutory filings (ECD/ECF), and calculate corporate taxes (IRPJ, CSLL, JCP, deferred taxes), including system validation (e.g., Hyperion).

Business Partnering & Planning (Level III): Partner with Controlling to support financial planning, budgeting, pricing, and profitability analysis.

Team Leadership & Support: Lead and develop the team through performance management and feedback, foster an inclusive and collaborative environment, and provide guidance on accounting treatment to wider stakeholders.
About YouTo be successful in this role, you need to have a Bachelors degree in Accounting, or have equivalent work experience. We would also like to see professional registration (CRC), advanced Excel skills and proficiency in English (written and verbal).
You will need to be able to demonstrate strong experience in setting accounting standards, tax regimes, transfer pricing, communication, critical thinking, and attention to detail .
