The Opportunity This role will be part of the Global HSE team for Dechra, helping to collate global data points for our external ESG reporting. The role will support the development and implementing of global standards for data governance and maintain compliance with these standards. This role will work across functions and divisions within the whole of the Dechra organisation and play a key role in implementing Dechra's data first strategy. This role will work closely with the Global Data team and will focus to ensure compliance with global data standards but will focus solely on ESG.
Role Responsibility So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:
- Create and maintain master ESG data objects at global level within the Oracle Cloud and other solutions including packaging and logistics.
- Ensure compliance with the business's quality, financial and regulatory policies.
- Support the business users in preparing and submitting accurate information regarding the different data objects.
- Guide users across the business and any stakeholders through the relevant master ESG data procedures.
- Maintain the integrity of the master ESG data at the global level.
- Train and educate new business users of the correct master ESG data processes as needed.
- Liaise with the Global Data Team to ensure that ESG data standards align with global data standards.
- Work closely with local teams to support the integrity of the ESG data at all levels of the business.
- Contribute where needed to the wider data enterprise across other areas of the Dechra business and IT applications.
- Develop, implement and document processes to ensure the ongoing accuracy and repeatability of data both collated and reported.
- Audit Data Management: Auditing and reviewing data and evidence submitted to the ESG reporting system.
- ESG Reporting Support: Assisting in the preparation and submission of ESG reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
- External Validation: Involved in external validation of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions data and other ESG metrics.
- Own the standard operating procedures (SOPs) regarding master ESG data and reviewing and updating accordingly at regular intervals.
- Raise and own change controls for master ESG data.

- Knowledge of best practice in programme, project and change management
- Experience in data management, governance, or analytics roles
Desirable
- Experience working in a global, cross-functional, and multicultural environment
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry standards
- Experience working with data governance tools and platforms is a plus
- Experience working in a global, cross-functional, and multicultural environment
Additional Information:
- Occasional travel may be required with this role.
- This role is hybrid, requiring one day per week in our Northwich office
