The Opportunity The Head of Digital Activation will serve as the regional orchestrator and principal authority on digital excellence across EMEA and International. This role ensures:
- A clear understanding of today's digital maturity through a robust diagnostic across all markets
- A compelling vision of the future, grounded in global frameworks and best‑in‑class practice
- A defined transition roadmap, outlining how teams shift from "now" to "next"
- Activation of a regional digital strategy that markets can easily understand and execute
- Consistent capability uplift, ensuring all markets reach a higher, harmonised standard
Role Responsibility Regional Digital Strategy & Governance
- Lead, shape, and own the regional digital strategy, translating global direction into a coherent and commercially sound Regional plan.
- Define the future‑state digital operating model including capabilities, processes, and ways of working.
- Develop and maintain the regional digital roadmap across core channels (web, SEO, email/automation, paid media, social, content).
- Oversee digital governance, ensuring consistent application of privacy, tagging, accessibility, experimentation standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive adoption of martech systems (DAM, Pardot, Salesforce, analytics) and set the standard for how tools should be used region‑wide.
Digital Capability Assessment & Future-State Transition
- Conduct a full assessment of current digital capability across markets, identifying strengths, gaps, and critical uplift opportunities.
- Benchmark the organisation against external best practice, showing stakeholders what "great" truly looks like.
- Create a transformation roadmap, outlining the maturity journey from today to the desired future state, with clear milestones and priorities.
Expertise, Enablement & Market Support (Without Direct Ownership)
- Function as a senior digital advisor to markets-providing guidance, frameworks, and playbooks that empower local teams to execute at a higher standard.
- Uplift capability in SEO, lifecycle marketing, paid media, CRO, analytics, personalisation, and web optimisation.
- Provide clarity and direction on website standards, Academy content expectations, and scalable best practice.
Performance, Insights & Data-Led Improvement
- Define shared KPIs, harmonise measurement frameworks, and ensure markets align to regional reporting.
- Develop regional dashboards that enhance visibility and support better decision-making.
- Lead regional test‑and‑learn programmes, ensuring insights become scalable playbooks.
- Deliver comparative analysis to identify market opportunities and drive performance uplift
Stakeholder Leadership & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Operate as the strategic link between Global D&T and European/International markets.
- Ensure visibility of priorities, needs, resourcing and interdependencies across teams.
- Build strong relationships with Marketing, Product, Technical, Legal, Regulatory, Sales, and external suppliers.
- Guide the regional Marketing Automation Manager and ensure automation maturity is accelerated as part of the wider digital transformation.

- Heavy-hitting digital expertise across web, SEO, paid media, email/automation, analytics, CRO, and martech ecosystems.
- Proven experience delivering digital transformation within large, matrixed organisations.
- Ability to independently diagnose, advise, and designfuture-state digital environments.
- Strong analytical skills with ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
- Skilled at building capability-training teams, creating frameworks, and influencing adoption.
- Experience in B2B or regulated sectors advantageous.
- Certifications (Desirable but not essential) Google Analytics, Google Ads, -, Meta Blueprint, DMI CDMP, OMCP, AMA PCM; MIT/Wharton Digital Transformation; Salesforce/Pardot or similar CRM or Marketing Automation suite e.g. HubSpot/Marketo
Additional Information:
- Occasional global travel may be required with this role.
- This role is based in Northwich / hybrid
