Job Introduction

QC Team Leader - Stability

Location: Skipton (Site‑based)
Hours: 08:00 - 16:30 9 Day Fortnight

If you're someone who loves bringing structure, clarity and calm to a busy laboratory environment - and you get a real buzz from helping people do their best work - this could be a brilliant next step for you.

At Dechra, our Stability team plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our products, and we're looking for a Team Leader who can guide, support and inspire the group day‑to‑day. You'll be the person who keeps everything moving: from planning stability studies to making sure testing stays on track, spotting issues early, and helping the team deliver work they're proud of.

What the role looks like day‑to‑day
You'll take ownership of the annual stability plan and make sure everyone is aligned and working towards it. You'll lead regular team meetings, keep communication flowing, and step in quickly when something needs unblocking - whether that's a testing delay, a deviation, or a trend that needs attention.

You'll also be the steady hand that ensures everything we do meets GMP and regulatory expectations. That means overseeing investigations, supporting CAPAs, conducting self‑inspections, and ensuring training is always up to date.

And because collaboration is key here, you'll work closely with the Commercial & IPC Team Lead to spot opportunities to improve efficiency and keep our testing pipeline running smoothly.

About you
You're someone who enjoys leading from the front - supportive, organised, and confident, making decisions. You know how to bring people together, keep standards high, and stay calm when things get busy.

You'll thrive here if you:
  • Have experience leading analytical teams in a regulated environment (GMP, pharma, food, automotive, aeronautical, etc.)
  • Understand a range of testing techniques such as HPLC, dissolution and related CDS systems
  • Enjoy problem‑solving and keeping work on track
  • Care about doing things the right way - safely, compliantly and with integrity
  • Bring energy, curiosity and a willingness to go the extra mile

A degree in a relevant scientific field would be ideal.

What you'll bring to the team

We're looking for someone who embodies our values - dedication, enjoyment, courage, honesty, strong relationships and ambition. If you're the kind of person who takes pride in high standards, loves helping others grow, and isn't afraid to take ownership, you'll fit right in.

Why You'll Love It HereWe provide veterinary professionals with the tools to support the welfare of animals worldwide. A true career with real purpose, that's something you can proudly shout about.
