The Opportunity

The Senior Digital Marketing Specialist, e-Commerce, is responsible for auditing, developing, and executing high-impact digital marketing campaigns that enhance the customer experience, boost engagement through compelling content, and drive online sales growth. This role is key in expanding product visibility across e-commerce and retail platforms, with a strong emphasis on direct-to-consumer growth via digital channels and strategic partners such as Amazon, Walmart, and Chewy.

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied scope and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:
  • Own and execute Dechra's digital marketing content and advertising strategy to drive e commerce traffic, conversion, and revenue across direct-to-consumer and retail platforms.
  • Create a dynamic digital e-commerce playbook rooted in industry best practices and designed for seamless adoption across the e-Commerce and Marketing Teams.
  • Management of day-to-day e-commerce content agency relationships.
  • Liaison between Digital Marketing and channel distribution partners.
  • Represent Digital Marketing in all consumer marketing initiatives.
  • Plan and manage in-channel and off-platform paid media campaigns focusing on ROI and customer acquisition.
  • Lead SEO/SEM initiatives to improve organic rankings and grow non-paid traffic on consumer-facing sites.
  • Manage product listings and promotions across marketplaces like Amazon, Chewy, and others, ensuring brand consistency and compliance.
  • Collaborate with content and creative teams to develop compelling assets for product pages, digital ads, emails, and social media.
  • Oversee consumer-facing email and SMS Marketing programs to drive repeat purchases, loyalty, and customer lifetime value.
  • Analyze performance metrics across all digital channels, using insights to optimize campaigns and inform digital merchandising strategies.
  • Partner closely with Strategic Partnerships & Retail Teams to coordinate product launches, inventory availability, and promotional calendars.
  • Stay current on direct-to-consumer and animal health industry trends, consumer behavior, and platform algorithm changes.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Certifications (a plus):
    • Google Ads Certification
    • Google Analytics Certification (GA4)
    • Amazon Advertising Certification
    • Meta Blueprint (Facebook Ads)
    • Familiarity with Salesforce
    • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms
  • Minimum of 2 years in digital marketing with a focus on e-commerce.
  • Experience managing e-commerce platforms (Amazon Seller/Vendor Central, Chewy)
  • Proven track record in growing online sales and optimizing product presence across digital marketplaces.
  • Experience in the animal health industry or a regulated product category is highly desirable
  • PPC & Paid Media - Proficiency in platforms like Google Ads, Amazon Ads, Meta Ads, etc.
  • SEO & SEM - Knowledge of keyword research, on-page SEO, and performance monitoring.
  • Email Marketing - Experience with tools like Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Analytics & Reporting - Google Analytics (GA4), Excel/Sheets proficiency.
  • A/B Testing - Ability to design and interpret experiments to optimize performance.
  • Content & Merchandising - Strong understanding of e-commerce content (titles, images, A+ content, etc.).
