The Opportunity

Dechra is an international specialist veterinary pharmaceuticals products business. Our expertise is in the development, manufacture, and sales and marketing of high-quality products exclusively for veterinarians worldwide.

The Business Analyst will support manufacturing and supply initiatives by gathering and analysing business requirements, identifying improvement opportunities, and supporting the delivery of systems, process enhancements, and transformation projects. This role is critical in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while improving efficiency, data integrity, and operational effectiveness across functions including Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Regulatory Affairs among others.

Role Responsibility

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

Business Analysis & Process Mapping
  • Elicit, document, and validate business and user requirements for manufacturing operations, quality systems, and cross-functional projects.
  • Map current ("as-is") and future ("to-be") state processes using BPM tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for automation or simplification.

Project & Change Support
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for system or process changes.
  • Support project delivery through requirement traceability, test case preparation, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure alignment on scope, timelines, and deliverables.

Data & Systems
  • Support data analysis and reporting needs related to production metrics, quality indicators, and capacity planning.
  • Act as liaison between manufacturing users and technical teams potential upgrades/implementations.


Stakeholder Engagement
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings with site operations, quality, engineering, IT, and supply chain teams.
  • Serve as a key contact between technical developers and business SMEs to ensure clarity and alignment.
  • Communicate effectively with regulatory, validation, and compliance stakeholders as needed.


The Candidate

Essential
  • 4+ years of business analysis experience, preferably in transformation or change-focused roles.
  • 2+ years working in or with pharmaceutical or life sciences organizations.
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in complex, cross-functional environments and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Familiarity with agile, waterfall, and hybrid project delivery methodologies.
  • Understanding of pharmaceutical regulatory frameworks and quality systems (GxP, GMP, GDP, etc.).
  • Proficiency in business process modelling tools (BPMN, Visio, ARIS, Lucid, etc).
  • Proficiency in English essential.


Desirable
  • Knowledge of digital technologies (e.g., ERP, LIMS, MES, RPA, data analytics tools) is a plus.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA) or Agile (e.g., Scrum Master, Product Owner) preferred.
