The Opportunity

The Director - Advanced Analytics and AI Enablement is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of sophisticated data analysis and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions within the commercial organization. This senior-level position will be tasked with leveraging advanced statistical techniques, machine learning models, and other data science tools to drive strategic decision-making and optimize business operations across various business units.

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied scope and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

• Define the commercial data analytics and AI strategy, aligning it with business objectives and identifying key areas for AI application.
• Coordinate and lead a team of data scientists and data analysts and provide technical guidance and mentorship.
• Lead the execution of complex data analytics and AI projects, including data collection, cleaning, feature engineering, model development, deployment, and monitoring.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of large datasets using advanced techniques like predictive modelling, time series analysis, clustering, and anomaly detection.
• Design, build, and optimize machine learning models, including supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms, to address specific business challenges.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization to understand business needs, translate them into data-driven solutions, and communicate insights effectively.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in AI and data analytics technologies, evaluating new tools and frameworks to enhance capabilities.
• Collaborate on data governance practices, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with regulations.

• Strong programming experience in languages like Python and/or R with expertise in machine learning libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, PyTorch).

• Proven experience leading and mentoring data science teams, managing project timelines, and fostering collaboration.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively present technical findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrate a passion for AI, through monitoring and evaluation of the rapidly evolving AI landscape and have experience in leveraging AI-driven modelling for commercial use cases
