The Opportunity

The Project Manager will lead and execute projects within Dechra's Manufacturing and Supply division ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, optimizing processes, and driving cross functional collaboration. This role will oversee project timelines, budgets, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful delivery of the assigned projects to include tech transfers and other product related projects, capex, and process improvement projects. They will align site project process to divisional PMO process using a central Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) system. They will work with functional managers on site to do detailed resource management on a regular basis. The Project Manager will be self-motivated, organized, detail oriented with a commitment to ensuring projects are completed according to the agreed plan.

  • Using project management methodologies agreed with PMO, oversees complex projects from initiation to project release, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and according to scope
  • Define project scope, objectives, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and risk management strategies
  • Responsible for timely and accurate maintenance of project management records, project status updates as directed by PMO, including milestones, risks, actions, issues, decisions, and KPIs
  • Some awareness of cGMP, FDA, EMA, compliance and other applicable regulatory pharma and non-pharma requirements.
  • Ensure project governance followed in alignment with the central PMO function
  • Lead regular project status meetings and report progress to senior leadership
  • Set and manage deadlines and push team to ensure timeliness of deliverables
  • Provide feedback, advice, encouragement, and conflict management support to project team members
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project related communications, ensuring alignment across departments
  • Ensure team members aware of and adhere to project management processes, tools, and templates. Also stakeholder communication, risk identification and mitigation and contingency planning, and escalation when needed.


Additional Information:

  • UK travel will be required with this role.
  • This role is mainly hybrid - but the successful candidate needs to be able to get to Northwich and Skipton.
