The Opportunity The
Inside Sales Manager is responsible for leading and coaching a high-performing remote sales team. In this role, the Inside Sales Manager will be accountable for driving sales execution, coaching and developing sales reps, optimizing operational performance and leading through change - all within a virtual team environment. The Inside Sales Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with their counterpart to represent nationally by aligning sales strategy and execution.
So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied scope and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:
Key Responsibilities Data-Driven Leadership
- Leverage sales performance data, customer analytics and market trends to inform decisions and drive territory-specific strategies
- Use CRM, dashboards and business intelligence tools to monitor KPIs, pipeline health and sales rep effectiveness
- Identify performance gaps and translate insights into actionable coaching and plans
Inside Sales Execution
- Lead, coach and mentor a team of remote Inside Sales Reps to consistently exceed sales targets
- Conduct regular 1:1s and virtual shadows to provide real-time feedback to elevate selling skills and customer engagement
- Build and execute tailored business plans for each territory to align rep activities with regional objectives
- Drive sales process discipline, customer segmentation and account prioritization
Operational & Financial Performance
- Proactively manage budget with a clear understanding of financial impact and return on investment from sales rep's activities (lunch and learns, travel, expense reporting, etc.)
- Ensure accurate execution of pricing strategies, distributions logistics, and usages of marketing materials (Example: Marketing Samples)
- Partner cross-functionally to resolve fulfilment delivery, or service issues impacting customer satisfaction or rep productivity
Talent Development & Team Culture
- Providing ongoing performance coaching, skill development and career pathing for each sales representative
- Conduct monthly 1:1s, performance reviews and targeted development plans for underperforming reps
- Recruit, hire and onboard new team members to build a high-performance and continuous learning culture
Collaboration & Reporting
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., marketing, product, customer service) to ensure seamless alignment and execution of business goals.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports to executive leadership, outlining performance, challenges, and opportunities
- Influence up and across as a trusted advisor to peers and senior leadership by sharing field insights, highlighting barriers to change, and proposing solutions for smoother transitions
Leading through Transformation & Change Management
- Champion new sales strategies, processes and technologies by actively modelling flexibility and helping the team understand the "why' behind organizational shifts
- Quickly adjust sales plans and tactics in response to evolving customer needs, competitive pressures, or internal priorities, ensuring the team remains aligned and productive
- Effectively translate change-related messages from senior leadership into clear, actionable guidance for the team, ensuring consistent understanding and engagement
- Foster a culture of adaptability by encouraging learning from setbacks, and maintaining focus during periods of ambiguity or transition

- 5 Years of Sales experience in the Animal Health industry, with at least 2 years in Sales Leadership or people management role - preferably in a virtual sales environment.
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Experience managing an Inside Sales Team in a remote setting
- Experience leading through transformation and change leadership is a plus
- Proven ability to drive sales performance using data and CRM Tools (salesforce)
- Excellent communication and proven track record of coaching skills in virtual environment
- Comfort presenting to senior leadership and collaborating cross-functionally
