The Opportunity We are seeking a motivated and experienced
Regional Sales Manager to lead and manage our sales operations across the
Upper Midwest of the US. This role is designed for a leader who thrives on coaching others to excellence, leverages data and territory insights to drive smart growth, and champions a culture of high performance, accountability and continuous improvement. As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for maximizing revenue, optimizing territory performance to grow the overall region and reach targets, while ensuring the sales team is equipped to execute full-cycle sales process with confidence and consistency. This critical front-line leader partners closely with cross-functional teams and cross the sales organization to translate strategy into field sales execution to deliver desired results.
So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied scope and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:
Key Responsibilities: Sales Strategy Development & Execution
- Coach and develop a team of field-based Territory Sales Managers (reps) through regular ride-alongs, call reviews, and coaching frameworks.
- Use data and performance dashboards to assess activity levels, pipeline health, and revenue outcomes - driving rep-level accountability.
- Lead territory optimization and planning efforts to ensure effective coverage, prioritization of high-opportunity accounts and increase efficiency.
- Drive a high-performance culture by setting clear goals, driving accountability, and rewarding consistent achievement.
- Own regional forecast accuracy and ensure disciplined CRM usage, hygiene and data integrity
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve regional targets and KPIs.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market presence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.
- Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports and forecasts to senior management.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and support regional initiatives.
- Conduct regular market and competitor analysis to stay ahead of industry trends.
- Participate in trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote the brand and generate leads.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing strategies, and ethical standards.
Team Leadership & Development
- Recruit, manage, and mentor the sales team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Provide ongoing training, coaching, and development to enhance sales skills and productivity.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence within the sales team
Sales Performance Management
- Establish clear sales performance metrics and KPIs to ensure team accountability.
- Regularly track and analyze sales performance and provide actionable insights for improvement.
- Motivate the team to exceed individual and collective sales goals.
- Market Analysis & Business Intelligence
- Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to inform strategic decisions.
- Provide feedback to product and marketing teams to enhance offerings based on market demands.
- Adjust sales strategies as necessary to adapt to changing market conditions.

- Minimum of 10 years in the animal health industry, with 3 years of sales management experience leading field-based or hybrid sales teams
- Bachelor's Degree preferred, not required
- Prior experience as a top performing sales rep (hunter/full-cycle preferred)
- Proven success in coaching and developing high-performing teams
- Track record using data and metrics to drive territory growth and accountability
- Strong business acumen and territory management skills
- Excellent communicator and sales coach who can inspire, influence, and lead with clarity
- Proficient in Salesforce (or similar CRM), sales dashboards or reporting tools
- Entrepreneurial spirit and innovative leader with a sales coaching and continuous development mindset
- The ability to actively observe and diagnose selling behaviors during ride-alongs and call reviews
- The ability to provide real-time feedback that is direct, actionable, and grounded in data
- Highly accountable, driven, and committed to building high-performing sales teams Excellent communicator who leads with clarity, feedback and follow through
