The Opportunity

The Senior Manager, Strategic Programs & Operations at Dechra is a pivotal role focused on supporting and driving high-impact transformative programs across North America with a focus on the US and Canadian Marketing organizations. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally to design, execute and accelerate strategic priorities, optimize operations and enable scalable growth while providing senior leadership team support. The goal is to enhance overall performance and achieve measurable outcomes. This role requires strategic thinking, skilled program management, and change leadership to align stakeholders. This position will be an individual contributor, involved in collaborating across the business to develop and execute in alignment with Dechra North America's goals, objectives and strategic vision.

This position is remote with ~30-40% travel based on the needs of the business.

So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied scope and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Program Management
  • Execute key strategic priorities aligned with Marketing's objectives
  • Priorities will include above brand and cross portfolio effort
  • Manage complex, cross-functional projects with workstreams spanning business units, functions and geographies.
  • Translate strategic programs into action plans, deliverables and roadmaps with clear KPIs and milestones.
  • Training and on-going support will be required to launch final deliverables to internal key stakeholders.

Operational Excellence
  • Identify and drive opportunities for process optimization, cost savings and operational efficiencies.
  • Lead end-to end operating plan efforts across North America and all point of intersection across the Commercial business and in partnership with non-Commercial functions where appropriate.
  • Establish and/or enforce governance structures, communication cadences, and tracking mechanisms to ensure timely delivery and accountability.
  • Build and execute commercial capabilities framework for North America Marketing
  • Facilitate commercial excellence by optimizing processes

Stakeholder Engagement & Change Leadership
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and communication across teams.
  • Ensure cross-functional commercial awareness and alignment of strategic and operational initiatives
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business and functional leaders during periods of change and transformation.
  • Establish strong partnerships and organizational awareness to ensure critical stakeholders are engaged and supported as needed

Analytics & Reporting
  • Define and monitor KPIs to assess program effectiveness, identify risks, and provide actionable insights
  • Create executive-level reporting and updates for the leadership team and key stakeholders
  • Use qualitative and quantitative data and analytics to inform recommendations and influence strategic decisions

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Strategy, Operations or a related field; MBA preferred
  • At least 7 years of experience in animal health marketing
  • Animal Health Industry Experience Preferred
  • Strategy, operations management, transformation or program management roles that had an enterprise-wide scope
  • Skilled at navigating ambiguity and balancing strategic vision with executional rigor.
  • Experience in a highly matrixed, fast-paced, and dynamic environment, ideally in animal health, marketing and/or enterprise transformation.
  • Exceptional program and project management skills; PMP, Agile, or Lean Six Sigma certifications a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with data-driven and analytical mindset.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including executive presence and influence.
  • Highly collaborative, resourceful and outcome focused.
  • Travel: This position is remote with ~30-40% travel based on the needs of the business.
